Our Statement on Safety
As a company founded by mothers, we understand the concerns and worries that come with ensuring the safety of your baby. When you are shopping with PoshTots, you can rest assured that you are investing in a thoughtful and safe experience for your child that lives up to the highest expectations of the CPSC, JPMA and mothers themselves.
As PoshTots moves into its 10th year as a purveyor of premiere children's furnishings, we would like to take a moment to comment on one of the pillars PoshTots stands on: safety. In light of all the recent attention on crib safety, and the subsequent recalls on select drop-sided cribs, we here at PoshTots would like to share our personal knowledge and experience about crib safety.
First, we would like to reassure you that we have not experienced any sort of recall on cribs offered by PoshTots. Select drop-side crib options can be found in our collection because the US Consumer Product Safety Commission's standards do not suggest that all drop-sided cribs are unsafe for your child. According to the CPSC and the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA), the real danger lies not in the drop-side cribs themselves, but in the proper assembly of the cribs and the quality of materials used. According to Mike Dwyer, JPMA Executive Director,
"The safest place for a child is in a fully functional, properly assembled crib. Parents are urged to closely inspect the hardware and stability of their cribs to ensure all parts are in place and secure when assembling and re-assembling cribs."
The CPSC has released a new set of standards that outline the qualifications for a safe crib for your child. PoshTots, of course, only carries cribs approved by the CPSC. In addition to the CPSC standards, the JPMA has released a list of tips to help sustain the proper lifespan of your crib.
Many of our artisans offer cribs with stationary side rails. If you have questions about specific cribs' features or general questions about crib safety, we invite you to contact our Design Consultants. They are well versed in nursery design and also understand the safety concerns of expecting and new parents.

Payment & Sales Tax
Presently, PoshTots accepts credit card payments from Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Personal checks, cashier's checks, wire transfers and PoshTots gift certificates are also accepted. Credit cards are charged as soon as your order is placed.
You will be notified if your order cannot be fulfilled within the lead time noted at the time of your order.
Because PoshTots operates in Virginia, we are required to collect 5% sales tax on orders shipped to a Virginia address. Those who live outside Virginia will not be charged sales tax for orders placed on PoshTots , but should consult applicable tax laws in their state.

Order Status / My Account
If you'd like to check the status of your order, we encourage you to refer to your order confirmation. There you will find the lead time for the items you ordered. Please note that the lead times reflected are approximate and show the time typically required to make the item(s) ordered. Many items offered on PoshTots.com are hand crafted, custom made to order and delays may occur. PoshTots will always make every effort to expedite the production and delivery of items to you and will notify you promptly of delays.
Shipping transit times add one to three weeks to your lead time depending on the shipping method used. Small items such as accessories and bedding are shipped via UPS or FedEx and should be delivered to the specified shipping address within five to seven days of the lead time noted. Delivery of furniture may require up to three weeks, as PoshTots’ specialized in-home furniture carriers take great pride in transporting and delivering your items safely. Please note that transit times will vary depending on the pick-up and delivery shipping addresses and that PoshTots cannot be held responsible for delays beyond the estimated delivery times given.

International Orders / Shipping
If you do not have an existing Freight Forwarder, international shipments will incur additional shipping charges. A customer service representative will contact you within one business day with your exact shipping charges. Please note that international orders will not be processed until final approval by the customer and will also require additional shipping time. Payments are processed upon final approval of the order. Duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer/receiver. When registering as a member of PoshTots , we may ask you to provide certain details about yourself including your name, e-mail and mailing address. We do this in order to offer you a full range of information, products and services, as well as to notify you of site changes on our sites. When you complete PoshTots' member registration process, you agree to all of the terms herein. PoshTots may update these terms and will notify you via our weekly newsletter or a prominent posting on this customer service page. Your continued use of PoshTots after such notification indicates that you accept any and all changes. Users who do not subscribe to our newsletter are encouraged to check this page periodically for any changes.
Our artisans' rates and offerings may change from time to time. As a result, prices and availability of items in our collection, including those saved in your My Favorites folder, are subject to change until orders are placed. When placing orders, charges reflected in your Shopping Cart, including merchandise prices, are subject to correction in the event of calculation or printing errors. If a pricing error occurs, PoshTots will contact you before proceeding with your order.
Shipping time frames reflected in product descriptions are based on estimates from our artisans. PoshTots reserves the right to amend product information and shipping schedules due to artisan delays, changing conditions and product discontinuations. In the event of a shipping delay, PoshTots will notify you promptly, and cannot be held responsible for shipping delays beyond estimated delivery times.
While the PoshTots team works diligently to review the safety of all products, PoshTots cannot be held liable for accidents resulting in personal injury that involve a product purchased on the site. In addition, PoshTots is not responsible for copyright, registration or licensing infringement of products sold on the site.

Shipping Methods & Charges
Please note: All shipping price quotes and delivery estimates used on the PoshTots.com site are for purchases finalized and shipped within the 48 contiguous U.S. states. Please contact a PoshTots Customer Service Representative for more information.
Small furnishings, dècor accessories and bedding are typically shipped via ground service with small package carriers such as UPS and FedEx. Items shipped via UPS or FedEx should arrive within 5 to 7 days of the lead time noted on the website. If your UPS or FedEx item arrives damaged, please retain all packaging materials and contact our design consultants at 1-866-POSHTOT (866-767-4868) within one week of delivery to arrange for a replacement.
Select items are shipped with a signature required upon delivery. If you would like to inquire about whether your order will be shipped in this method, or have any questions about this service, please contact our design consultants.
Larger furniture requires special consideration in shipping and delivery. Because these items are large and heavy, we must ship them via Standard Delivery with special in-home furniture carriers. As a result, these oversized items incur a Standard Delivery shipping surcharge in addition to the regular shipping charges noted below. Shipping surcharges are noted on an item's product page and in your Shopping Cart.
Furniture shipments generally take 2 – 3 weeks from the time the order leaves the manufacturer. This time is in addition to the lead times indicated on the website.
Furniture and other oversized items are shipped by preferred freight carriers. If you select Standard Delivery, items will be placed at the end of your drive or sidewalk. This shipment method is considered curbside and in some instances the delivery driver may require assistance getting an item off the truck. If this is the case, you will be notified by the delivery agent when they call to set-up your delivery appointment. PoshTots also offers in-home delivery service via Premier Delivery in which items will be placed inside the main threshold of the home. Because of our commitment to exceptional customer service, White Glove Delivery is also an option. Upon delivery, the White Glove carrier will unpack, place these furnishings in the room of your choice and discard the packing materials for you. (Assembly service is not provided.)
If a furniture carrier is used to ship your item, the carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery time. Deliveries are scheduled within a four-hour window, typically Monday through Friday during normal business hours. If you are unable to meet the delivery driver at your scheduled appointment time, please call in advance to reschedule your delivery. Failure to meet the driver during your scheduled delivery window may result in an additional charge. If delivery cannot be scheduled within 10 days, applicable storage fees will be due and payable upon delivery.
Shipping charges for non-furniture, standard-sized items are based on the total price of an order and outlined in the chart below. Shipping surcharges for oversized and furniture items are in addition to the costs shown below:

How to Receive Your Shipment
Please take the time to read the following important information regarding the delivery of your furniture.
Please estimate 2 – 3 weeks for delivery in addition to the lead time stated on the website. The freight company will contact you to arrange a delivery appointment (Monday – Friday) once the shipment has arrived in your local area. Please note that the shippers are not PoshTots employees; they are independent contractors.
The artisans take great pride in packaging their furniture. Unfortunately, pieces are occasionally damaged during transit. Should this happen during your delivery, here are some helpful suggestions to protect your investment:
- You must be present to receive, inspect and sign for your delivery.
- It is important to be as detailed and descriptive as possible on the packing slip before you sign for your items. A signature indicates acceptance; if you simply sign without inspecting the box or its contents, then you are accepting the shipment "as is." We will not be able to file a claim with the shipper on your behalf unless you notate any damages at the time of delivery.
- For Standard Delivery, the shippers will place the items at the end of your drive or sidewalk. This shipment method is considered curbside and in some instances the delivery driver may require assistance getting an item off the truck.
- For Premier Delivery, the shippers will bring the item across the threshold of your home. If the box appears to be in good condition, but you cannot inspect the shipment due to time constraints, please note "not inspected at delivery" on the shipping waybill. However, if the box is compromised in any way, please note "box damaged, possible damage to piece, not inspected at delivery" on the waybill. Any damages must be reported to our customer service department within 5 days of receipt of the item.
- For White Glove Delivery, the shippers will bring the item to the room of your choice, unpack the item and discard the debris. We do not offer assembly. If there are any damages or missing pieces, please note this on the shipping waybill. If the box/packaging are not available for your inspection, please note that as well. Remember that if you sign the waybill without notating damages, we cannot be responsible for assisting you in the repair or replacement of the merchandise. Any damages must be reported to our customer service department within 5 days of receipt of the item.

Returns & Exchanges
Custom Items
Custom-designed furnishings, bedding, accessories, select gifts and clothing, and other made-to-order items require payment in full upon order, and cannot be returned or exchanged. Items that are custom are notated as such in the product descriptions.
PoshTots makes fabric and finish samples available to help you select the appropriate colors and designs for your dècor. Because custom items cannot be returned, PoshTots suggests that you contact a Design Consultant to request a sample prior to purchasing custom items. You can email Customer Service or call us at 1-866-POSHTOT (866-767-4868) Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. (eastern standard time).
Non-custom Items
PoshTots strives to provide our customers with the highest quality merchandise and an unparalleled shopping experience. If you are not completely satisfied with your non-custom item, you may return it, for a refund, exchange, or store credit. Returned items must be unused, in their original condition and their original packaging.
Simply call us within 30 business days of receipt of the item and we will issue you a Return Authorization Number (RAN), which is valid for 10 business days. Please return the item within that time frame to the address provided at the time the RAN is issued.
If you return an item after the 10 business day window, without a RAN, and/or PoshTots suspects an item has been used, the merchandise will be shipped back to you at your expense. Also, if you choose to return an item that was shipped to you free of charge, you will receive a refund for the item's purchase price minus the appropriate shipping costs as outlined on our Shipping Methods and Charges section. We reserve the right to apply up to a 25% restocking fee should the merchandise not be in re-sellable condition.

PoshTots works to ship orders as quickly as possible. For this reason, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to cancel your order after it has been placed. PoshTots upholds the warranties offered by the artisans and manufacturers who craft our furnishings. Because the scope and duration of our manufacturers' warranties vary, we encourage you to ask a PoshTots Design Consultant for specific warranty information on products of interest.

Requesting a Swatch
PoshTots is happy to offer fabric swatches and finish samples for most of our linens and furnishings in order to help you select the right item every time. A nominal fee of $5 will be charged for swatches. When you make your purchase the swatch charge will be credited to your order. Please call a Design Consultant to ensure that your credit is processed.
Important Notice: Due to the fact that dye lots vary, the colors in the swatches can differ from the color of the finished product.

COM & Custom Design
PoshTots understands your desire for creativity and choice. Although our collection includes thousands of items for your home, we know you may have something specifically unique in mind. That's why we're proud to offer PoshTots ' Custom Design Services.
Our Design Consultants can coordinate with our artisans to create "COM" (customer's own material) upholstered chairs and linens with fabrics of your choice. For your protection we require that you include a copy of your receipt or invoice that reflects the cost of your fabric when you ship yardage to PoshTots . When your COM bedding or upholstered furniture is shipped, we will insure the package for the appropriate value. If we do not receive a receipt with your COM, PoshTots cannot be held liable for the cost of your fabric. Only the purchase price of your PoshTots' merchandise will be covered should it be lost or damaged in transit.
We offer fabric for purchase by the yard for window treatments, shower curtains and other items. In some cases PoshTots can facilitate the design and manufacture of these items, but if we cannot, we will gladly assist you in finding the right fabric yardage.
Our Design Consultants work with talented artists to paint custom furnishings to match colors and motifs of existing furnishings, wallpaper or fabrics. In some cases, we have collaborated with customers and master craftsmen to design fanciful, one-of-a-kind furniture. All sales are final on custom orders. PoshTots cannot accept returns or exchanges of any item marked as "custom made", special order items, COM orders, fabric yardage or any custom designed item.

Important Safety Information
Slings & Carriers
Like all baby gear, baby slings are considered safe when used properly. Recently, the CPSC advised that special attention should be given to babies with respiratory problems, low birth weight and infants younger than four months. When nestled in their slings, infants' chins should not rest on their chests to maintain airflow for optimal breathing. If you have concerns about the use of a baby sling, please contact the CPSC or a trusted healthcare professional. Knowing when and how to use your sling is an important step towards ensuring your pint-sized sidekick's safety.
